Obodoechi Divine Ndubuisi Ph.D

Dr. Obodoechi Divine Ndubuisi is an economist, banker, academic, and policy consultant with deep expertise in health economics, monetary economics, macroeconomic analysis, and development finance. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and an MSc in Finance and Economics from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom. As Co-Founder of Oriental Strategy and Analytics, Dr. Ndubuisi leads the firm's economic intelligence and analytical capability. He applies rigorous econometric frameworks to deliver data-driven insights, policy analysis, and strategic solutions for businesses, governments, and development partners across West Africa. Dr. Ndubuisi currently serves as Head of Economic Publication at Zenith Bank. He previously held the role of Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in econometrics, macroeconomics, and research methods. He also coordinated postgraduate seminars, supervised theses, and contributed to academic governance. Before transitioning into academia, he gained practical experience in investment trading and corporate financial management in the United Kingdom and Nigeria. Dr. Ndubuisi's research has been published in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals indexed in SSCI and Thomson Reuters, covering critical issues such as healthcare efficiency, inflation dynamics in West Africa, corruption in health systems, and economic development challenges in Sub-Saharan Africa. He has led and contributed to major national and international projects alongside the World Health Organisation, ThinkWell, Johns Hopkins University, and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He is also a certified cross-programmatic efficiency analyst and is proficient in STATA, EViews, MATLAB, and advanced Excel modelling.
